Plastics technology behind hairdressers' scissors | engineeringtalk.com editorial |
Toolcraft Plastics have
been involved with the development of five plastic parts for
a professional hairdresser's scissors which are essential for
ease of use and comfort. An elastomer gives a soft feel to the 2 rings finger rests & is used for the soft-stop. Made from a "family" injection mould tool designed and made in-house, the plastic parts are replaceable & available in several colours. Component and mould tool designs were all done "paperless" - IGES files being fed direct to machines cutting the tools, saving time and costs. Toolcraft's website gives help on plastic parts & mould tools including "family" tools. |
