Intro: conductive plastic mouldings & antistatic plastic trays | ||
Another area of expertise is the production of
custom made, conductive plastic mouldings and antistatic plastic
mouldings We also make custom made vacuum formed reusable conductive packaging & antistatic plastic trays or you can choose from our Standard Trays & Racks or Conductive Tote Boxes etc |

Resistivity: conductive plastic mouldings & antistatic plastic trays |
Typically, reusable antistatic plastic trays
have a volume resistivity of 103
& a surface resistivity of 104.
They are of particular use in industries where static
sensitive products need storing / protecting
in transport or movement between work cells or in clean rooms. Injection moulded antistatic mouldings and conductive plastic mouldings can offer much wider and improved surface and volume resistivity rates, dependent on the grade used. Typical uses include Screening Cases and Covers to protect static sensitive products. |
An explanation of the terms antistatic / conductive / dissipative & resistivity |
antistatic (1010-1012 ohms/sq.) - suppresses initial charge build up, minimises tribo charging from low speed movement & insulates against moderate to high leakage currents. |
conductive (102-105 ohms/sq.) - provides a grounding path for charge bleed off & dissipates tribo charging from high speed movement *Higher resistivity shielding materials are also available* |
dissipative (106-109 ohms/sq.) - prevents static discharge to or from human contact. |
resistivity - ability to dissipate static charges on the surface or throughout parts (volume). |
